My sister was looking for accommodation in Madrid to study and was scammed. The crooks had posted an ad on Facebook showing an apartment, with photos and the address. The apartment seemed large and modern and the rent ultra reasonable. She paid from abroad, but when she got there she never found the accommodation and realized it didn’t exist… So when it was my turn to go on Erasmus, my parents, still traumatized by my sister’s experience, decided to go to Madrid to visit some live-in flatshares. However, in the middle of August, between the tickets and the hotel, we were looking at a minimum of 500€… And it was on a Facebook group that I came across this site.
